Shadow Plates

These plates are designed in my garden at daybreak. Surfaces begin with a photograph of a shadow cast through paper. In the moment of capture, these photos are an exercise in attention and composition. Over time, they become a record of the growth and decline of my plants through the seasons. While photography has always been a critical part of documenting my work, it is a new tool in my creative process.
